Missig Battles Through to Top 10 in Portland

Jordan Missig and the No. 48 Abel Motorsports team delivered a strong recovery drive in the penultimate road course round of the 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone season, climbing from P14 to finish P8 at Portland International Raceway.

The weekend demanded patience and precision. After a mid-pack qualifying run, Missig navigated a clean start and steadily worked his way forward, making the most of every opportunity as the race unfolded. The result adds valuable championship points and keeps momentum heading into the season’s closing stretch.

“Portland was all about surviving the first corner after starting P14,” Missig reflected. “Once we got through all the chaos, it was game on to see how the race was going to play out. Luckily I was able to make it up 6 spots and brought home some good points for an 8th place finish. Looking forward to finishing the season out on a pair of oval tracks where I know much needed points are in store for me.”

With two races remaining — the Milwaukee Mile and Nashville Superspeedway — Missig now sits 10th in the championship standings and is poised to capitalize on his strength at oval venues.
