Did you know that many members of the operations staff are trained weather spotters? This includes our Director of Track Operations Mike Gritter, Track Manager Kyle Nadeau and several of our Race Control personnel. This specialized training is helped by a subscription to an advanced radar site offering many more details about current situations than typical weather apps.
Autobahn also has a radar detection station right on property showing real time lightning strikes and locations. All of this helps make decisions about weather conditions keeping us all safe and informed. How does this help for the next time we’re hit with frigid temps and blowing snow? It doesn’t!
