After our Spec Miata race, we had a mix of “downforce cars” for our Wings N’ Things class. 11 cars would take part, having Chris Dimuzio in his F3 car starting on pole, alongside John Zhu driving his Radical. Charley Morrall in a Pro Mazda would start third with Ben Blander, second out of the Radical’s would start fourth.

Green flag flew and Charley Morrall spun out on the exit of turn 3, pitting at the end of lap two, for someone to check his front wing. Ben Blander would go from fourth to first on the first lap to take our overall race lead over our polesitter Chris Dimuzio. Alon Kim went straight off at turn 11, coming to a full stop, bringing out the full course yellow, right before Alon Kim managed to get back going to return to the track, immediately going to the pits to retire from the race. Green flag went back out on lap six, where Ben Blander and Chris Dimuzio ran off with their 1-2 overall. Shortly after halfway, Chris Dimuzio took back the overall lead, with John Zhu in third having caught up to Ben Blander as well. Blander and Zhu swap positions back and forth on lap 13, with Blander being able to hold off Zhu for a little longer. Meanwhile, towards the back, John Mikulski made a pass on Bob Perry, in a battle which would lead to Mikulski winning that battle for eighth. One lap later, fourth overall Kevin Laughridge spun at turn 11, losing fourth to Wenli Zhao and losing third in the Radical class too. After Bob Perry was lapped, Ben Blander getting dirty air from Perry, lost second overall and Radical class lead to John Zhu at turn 1 at the start of the last lap.

Chris Dimuzio won overall and in Wings N’ Things, with John Zhu finishing second overall, and winning Radical. Ben Blander would settle for third overall and second for Radical, with fourth overall, Wenli Zhao taking third in the Radical class. Charles Meagher finished seventh overall, giving him second in the Wings N’ Things class, with a last lap pass by Charley Morrall on Bob Perry, giving him ninth overall ahead of Perry, but more importantly, beating Perry to the final step on the Wings N’ Things podium.
