Rain and unseasonably cold temperatures greeted the drivers of the Ferrari Challenge championship as it rolled into the second half of its 2022 season, but team Musial came ready to race!
Dave Musial Jr finished 2nd on Saturday in blinding rain taking the track with 37 other cars. He qualified 4th and moved up quickly! While Musial Jr. was in the process of passing the 1st place car, a full course yellow was displayed. Sunday brought about clear skies for Dave Musial and a dry track where he started on pole and lead the entire race to take home the win and secure a 10-point lead in the North American Championship. Musial Sr. finished 6th on Saturday and 5th on Sunday in his division.
Next up is Indianapolis Motor Speedway where Musial will be looking to repeat the championship winning season like 2021!
