We are very sorry to announce that our founding member and great friend, John Weinberger, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
It was a great privilege to have John part of the Autobahn family since the beginning. John’s life was a true American success story. His early involvement and leadership in the Club was integral in making Autobahn a success and his strong legacy will be felt for many years to come.
In honor of John’s immeasurable contribution to the Autobahn Country Club, our flags will fly at half-staff this entire week. Services will be held in Austin, TX, and the family has future plans for a Chicago area service commemorating John’s life.
