Nitro Motorsports (co-owned by member Joe Tovo) will kick off its 2026 ARCA Menards Series season this weekend at the iconic Daytona International Speedway, fielding a strong six-car lineup for the championship’s highly anticipated season opener. After topping the charts at the series test just a few weeks ago, the goals are set high for Nitro Motorsports foray into the 2026 ARCA Menards Series.
Returning to the team is Thomas Annunziata, who brings valuable experience and continuity as Nitro Motorsports looks to start the year with momentum. Joining him are five newcomers to the organization: Jake Finch, Wesley Slimp, Jake Bollman, Isabella Robusto, and three-time ARCA race winner Gus Dean, each set to make their Nitro Motorsports debut on one of the most challenging and prestigious tracks in motorsports.
“This is an exciting way to start the season for our entire organization,” explained Nick Tucker, Co-Owner of Nitro Motorsports. “Bringing back Thomas while welcoming both Jake’s, Wesley, Isabella, and Gus gives us a strong mix of experience and fresh energy. Daytona is never easy, but this group has put in the work, and we’re looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together right out of the gate.”
“I’ve been going to the Daytona 500 with my dad since I was in high school,” added Joe Tovo, Co-Owner of Nitro Motorsports. “It is a lifelong dream of mine to compete at some level, and this marks one of the best achievements in my life. I am so excited to be a part of it.”
As the ARCA Menards Series season gets underway, Nitro Motorsports looks to make a statement at Daytona and set the tone for the year ahead. On-track action begins Thursday with practice sessions, followed by qualifying on Friday. The weekend will culminate with The General Tire 200, set to run on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14th, at 12:00 PM EST, live on FOX.
