Joliet Jordan (Jordan Missig) and the #48 Abel Motorsports team closed the 2025 Indy NXT season at Nashville Superspeedway with a performance that perfectly captured his year — resilient, fast, and determined. Missig brought home an 8th-place finish while also recording the fastest lap of the race at 185.686 mph (25.7855 seconds on lap 61), a clear display of the pace he carried into the season finale. That effort now stands as the Indy NXT oval lap record at Nashville Superspeedway, an exclamation point to end his campaign.
The result locked Jordan into 9th place in the Championship standings, a strong conclusion to a season that saw him consistently fighting inside the top ten and finding momentum in the back half of the calendar. After charging from 14th to 8th in Portland and piecing together four top-10 results in the final six races, Nashville was proof that the team’s progress paid off.
Reflecting on the season finale, Jordan shared: “Nashville was a great way to end the season on, showing off great pace by achieving the fastest lap of the race, making 3 wide moves and coming home with yet another top 10 finish. It also gives me a little momentum to build on as the goal is to get another shot in Indy NXT next year but time will tell to see what the future has in store for me. Big thanks to the Abel Motorsports crew for their efforts all season long.”
From charging through the pack in Portland to clocking the fastest lap in Nashville, Jordan’s 2025 campaign demonstrated growth and pace against one of the toughest Indy NXT fields in recent memory. With momentum on his side, the focus now shifts to the 2026 season and the opportunity to continue climbing toward the NTT INDYCAR Series.
