Milwaukee Mile Recap: New Look, Same Fight for Missig

Aug 29, 2025 | Current, Racing News

The Milwaukee Mile delivered an eye-opening weekend for Jordan Missig, the Joliet, Illinois native who earned the nickname “Joliet Jordan” on this weekend’s broadcast, as Abel Motorsports and Gr1p debuted a striking new livery and a performance that highlighted resilience and pace.

On track, Missig showcased that same spirit. After starting P13, an early spin dropped him to the back of the field, but he refused to stay down. Fighting his way back through the order, Missig climbed as high as 8th and consistently showed competitive pace—recording some of the fastest laps of the race.

A second spin late in the run ultimately left him 13th at the checkered flag, but the result didn’t tell the full story. The performance demonstrated grit, speed, and the “never give up” attitude that has defined Missig’s season.

“Milwaukee will sting a little knowing the pace we had in our 48 Gr1p car,” said Missig. “But it showed the fight and resilience that I have as a driver. The never give up attitude that shows I may be down but never out. We move onto Nashville for the final race of the season looking for a great result to finish off the year.”

For Missig and the team, Milwaukee was more than just a race—it was a proof point. With a bold new identity on track and momentum building behind the scenes, the weekend showed how vision, storytelling, and performance can combine to create lasting impact.

Now, the focus turns to Nashville for the season finale, with momentum on their side and eyes firmly set on finishing the year strong
