Want to see what it takes to make a car go sideways in a safe environment? Well, do it in a fully prepped drift car. Autobahn has partnered with Hero Cars who will show you the basics of how this drifting thing works on a drift setup racing sim and then let you try it out for real in a real drift car. We will also perform a demonstration so you get an idea of what to aim for when you are in the driver seat. You will absolutely not want to miss this.
Each person will get at least 3 attempts around our skid pad course and as many tries on the sim as you like. You will get more drift runs if there are tires left, but that is decided on a case-by-case basis. You just have to demonstrate that you can drive a manual transmission and wear pants/closed toe shoes. We will provide the safety equipment and of course tires! You can also take your own car around the drift course if you are up for it. This event will take place on the Autobahn Country Club skid pad.
The schedule for an Intro Class day is as follows:
10:00am – Intro to drifting class begins
10:30am – Sim Class
Noon – Lunch (bring your own or cafe is open)
1:00pm – Real drift car session 1
2:00pm – Session 1 debrief and discussion
2:30pm – 5:00pm – Final drift sessions
