Jordan Missig Returns to ABEL Motorsports for 2026 INDY NXT Season

Oct 10, 2025 | Current, Racing News

For some, a season is a cycle. For Jordan Missig, it’s a proving ground.

After a breakout year that delivered six top-ten finishes and the fastest lap at Nashville, Missig is taking everything he’s learned into 2026 — recommitting to ABEL Motorsports and continuing his mission to climb the INDYCAR ladder.

But this return isn’t just about another year in INDY NXT by Firestone — it’s about momentum, maturity, and mindset.

“I’m proud of how far we’ve come,” said Missig. “2025 was about learning, adjusting, and proving we belong up front. 2026 is about execution. We’ve built the right chemistry, and I feel like I’m entering the best version of myself yet — both as a driver and as a competitor.”

With ABEL Motorsports, Missig has found more than a seat — he’s found alignment. Both share a belief in development done right: through preparation, persistence, and teamwork.
“Jordan’s commitment to growth mirrors what we’re building at ABEL,” said Team Owner Bill Abel. “He’s evolved into a complete driver — fast, composed, and confident. We expect to see him contending for podiums all season long.”

The No. 48 Dallara, featuring the striking teal-and-black Gr1p livery, will make its on-track return during the Chris Griffis Memorial Test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on October 27, kicking off preparations for the 2026 INDY NXT by Firestone season opener on March 1st in St. Petersburg, Florida.

For Missig, it’s not just about getting back behind the wheel — it’s about building something lasting.“This is more than another season,” he said. “It’s the next step toward where we’re going.”
