This past weekend seven members of ABCC participatedin the final PCA races of the year. They were held at Daytona International Speedway. SP3 participants included Gary Collins, Brian Weathered, Ed Dunne and Denny Hiffman. IN J Class participants included John and Joe Crane and Mike Walsdorf in GTB 1. All cars were supported by Eurosport.
In SP 3 there were 4 races to decide 5 season-long championships. ABCC/Eurosport Prepared Cars captured 4 of the 5 titles with Denny Hiffman winning the 944 Super Cup National Championship and the Southern Region Championship for the second year running. Brian Weathered tied with Ed Dunne in PCA SP3National Championship* however Brian won the tiebreaker and therefore the Championship. Brian also was the winner of the Midwest Regional Championship. Not to forget Gary Collins, who set a new track class record for SP3 with a time of 2:08.263. SP3 Autobahn Members/Eurosport Supported cars took 11 out of 12 podiums available, 4 out of 5 championships and set a new track record. 71 cars participated in the series this year. GREAT WEEKEND.
