Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli completed its second qualifying session of the weekend under yet another perfect California day at Weathertech Raceway, Laguna Seca.
High drama in the Trofeo Pirelli Am category saw a change in the championship standings as Dave Musial (Ferrari of Lake Forest) took the win and the championship lead in the Trofeo Pirelli Am category as Jean-Claude Saada (Boardwalk Ferrari) crashed out at the top of the corkscrew and triggered the only full course caution of the race.
Musial Sr. took 2nd place on Saturday, and pole position and 1st place on Sunday!
Dave Jr. took pole and finished 1ST along with fastest time on Saturday, followed by pole position, fastest lap, and a second place finish on Sunday!
Sunday marked the first time in Ferrari Challenge racing history that a father and son took pole for the Ferrari Challenge!
A big congratulations to Dave Sr., Dave Jr., and their team at Lake Forest Sports Car, Conquest Racing, and Musial Motorsports. A special thank you to our coach Tony Kester. Tony’s amazing coaching and his knowledge of chassis setup made it all come together. Our success wouldn’t be possible without you!
