Mooresville, NC — Nitro Motorsports is proud to announce that rising talent Ethan Tovo will step into the team’s Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli TA2 program for the 2026 season. The move marks the latest stage in Tovo’s steady and impressive progression through the Nitro Motorsports development system—advancing from karting to the Toyota GR Cup North America series, and now into one of the most competitive road racing classes in North America.
Tovo’s promotion reflects both his on-track performance and his commitment to continuous improvement. After a strong season in the Toyota GR Cup, his transition to TA2 represents a major step in his professional racing career, placing him behind the wheel of a high-horsepower, purpose-built race car in a series that has advanced many to the upper echelons of NASCAR competition.
“I’m incredibly excited for this opportunity to race in TA2 with Nitro Motorsports,” explained Ethan Tovo. “I know this is a big jump and there’s a lot to learn, but I’m ready for the challenge. Nitro Motorsports Co-Owner Nick Tucker believes Tovo is ready for the next stage of his development and is confident the young driver will continue to excel.

With preseason testing approaching, Tovo and Nitro Motorsports will begin preparations immediately as they gear up for the opening round of the 2026 Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli.
