Focused and Ready for Road Atlanta
Jordan Missig will be returning for his second season starting at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Missig is no stranger to the Braselton facility. The last time Jordan embarked the rolling Georgia hills, he came out victorious in the Radical Cup North America sportscar series.
“This is going to be a successful year I feel, we’re going in on a very positive note after pre-season testing,” Missig stated. “We feel like a lot of boxes were checked and we were able to further develop our setups from last year. Our one and only goal this season is to win the championship. I think we have the team to do it and I feel physically and mentally ready to run at the top of the board week-in-week-out.”
“I’m really excited to start the season at Road Atlanta, it’s such a fun track to drive. It’s by far my favorite circuit on the 2021 FR Americas schedule. What makes this track so demanding are the blind corners and massive elevation changes, but that’s just the nature of the track, that’s what makes it so fun.”
A new partner, PSAcheck.org, joins Missig for the 2021 season. PSAcheck.org helps spread the word about the early detection of prostate cancer in men through the Prostate Specific Cancer Antigen (PSA) test. Also returning as a partner this season is Autobahn Country Club, Chicagoland’s premier motorsports facility.
The race weekend starts with a test day on Thursday followed by the first three races of the championship through Road Atlanta’s “Atlanta Speed Tour” festival. Follow along to all the action across Jordan’s social media channels and live timing on framericas.com.
Back on Track – Musial Motorsports Kicks Off the 2021 Season
After last year’s championship season, father and son duo Dave Musial Sr. and Dave Jr. were met with torrential downpour and conditions that went from wet to dry battling mother nature in the opening race of the 2021 season.
Under the guidance of coach Tony Kester and his unparalleled experience with auto racing, Dave Jr. was able to take starting pole position. During the qualifying race, Dave Sr. unfortunately dipped a tire and hit the wall, diminishing his hopes to start at the front.
Tony was able to come up with a winning strategy for both Dave Sr. and Dave Jr., to end the races on a high note!
Dave Jr. took a second place podium finish, as well as finishing 4th in Sunday’s race. Dave Sr., with Tony’s help spotting, was able to come all the way from the last position in
both races, and was able to take two 3rd place podiums!
A big congratulations to Dave Sr., Dave Jr., and their team at Lake Forest Sports Car, Conquest Racing , and Musial Motorsports on their continued success. A special thank you to Tony Kester, our coach and mentor who kept us motivated
on what was probably the most difficult track we’ve ever raced!
