Brandon Schwarz continued his dominant run in the Formula Race Promotions Open Atlantic class this weekend at Watkins Glen International – securing pole position, fastest lap, and back-to-back race wins to bring his season total to eight victories and ten podiums. The results officially lock in the 2025 championship title, with two race weekends still remaining.
This was Brandon’s first time at Watkins Glen, but he settled in immediately. Starting from pole in both races, he controlled the pace from the outset and never gave up the lead – even as rain rolled in mid-race on Sunday, adding a layer of uncertainty and a dramatic race finish.
While the track delivered plenty of action, it was the setting that took our breath away. The entire Finger Lakes region – rolling green hills, vineyards, Seneca Lake, and the stunning Watkins Glen State Park – made for one of the most beautiful weekends we’ve ever experienced. Downtown Watkins Glen was equally memorable: charming, welcoming, and picture-perfect. Racing in a new part of the country only made this milestone weekend that much more special.
Special thanks to Havoc Motorsport, Inc. for their outstanding prep and execution. We chose this weekend to feature HAVOC as our guest sponsor – an honorary title bestowed on those we deeply appreciate and are thrilled to share the journey with.
We look forward to closing out the season at Summit Point Motorsports Park August 15 – 17. With the title already secured, Brandon is eager to gain experience on the track and enjoy one final race weekend with this incredible team.
