The Margay Ignite Challenge Series held its inaugural race at KCA in 2017 and has grown to be one of the premier Spec based kart series in the country and 2025 Marks the 9th straight year Margay has returned to Kart Circuit Autobahn.
Despite the hot temperatures we had a record number of (85) entries competing on Saturday. We also had a record number of (20) Autobahn Karting Members, both current and past competing in the challenge this year.
The track configuration was counterclockwise with a new twist of adding 5 new turns and .15 miles to our standard track configuration. This created a physically demanding track layout and required respect from the drivers, especially on the extension.
Margay’s event schedule has 2 separate main events and 7 separate classes with rookie drivers starting at 7 years old up to the master’s class for drivers over 40 years old and Autobahn members brought home an amazing 11 of the 42 available podium trophies which also is a new high watermark for our home track hero’s. Congratulations to Justice Buttala, Matt Hartsell, Taylor May, Easton Kubinski, Weston Pignotti, Zavier Breugelmans and Sterlin Layman.
