Champions Will Be Crowned During OktoberFast

A quick update on the points standings going in the final race on October 12th.  As usual Spec Miata championship is up for grabs. Taro Kushida is leading the points race followed by arch rival, Matt Alexander but Jake Malter and others can definitely mix things up.

SM2 is locked up by Kevin Laughridge. Mark Stadalsky and Sean Benet fight over second and third respectively, so it will come down to the final race.

The big boys in GT1 are tied between Tom Herb and Dan Gove for first place. Depending on who shows up and wins, this class could go either way.

In GT2, Ernie has locked up the championship in his Orange Clubsport, but 2nd and 3rd are still very much up for grabs.  If Tom Herb comes back to GT2, he is in contention to be in the top 3.  Otherwise, David Hurt, John Rante, or Chris Hutter can all fill the podium.

In GT3, Val stands on the top, Jason Wood takes home second place with Bob Noorian locking up third place.

GT4 is hotly contested, with Scott Bening Sr. currently in the lead, closely followed by Charley Margosian.  Will Sean V be able to contend with Kirk Cordill for third place? Time will tell.

GT5 is led by, no surprise, Mike Keck.  With Noorian campaigning his Cayman in GT3 you’d think Mike would have been more lonely this year, but Andrew T sits second and third is really up for grabs with several other racers.

Wings-N-Things has been dominated by newcomer Bob Perrye and Radical’s currently have Ben Blander in first with Alon Kim and Mike Anzaldi rounding out the podium.

Chase Races are always a crowd favorite. With his most recent podium, Mark Basso secures another Chase Race Pro championship with Mark Stadalsky and Ben Hasbrouck nipping at his heels. The Sportsman class is still too close to call with multiple drivers in contention.
