The H Foundation is thrilled to announce David Spade as the Celebrity Guest of Honor for the 22nd Annual Goombay Bash on Saturday, July 27th at the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier! Join us for a night of storytelling and laughs with a stand up set from the SNL legend and star of instant classics Tommy Boy, Joe Dirt, and Grown Ups.
David Spade became a household favorite during his tenure as a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. For his memorable role as Dennis Finch, the wise-cracking, power-hungry assistant on Just Shoot Me, Spade received Emmy Award, Golden Globe, and American Comedy Award nominations in 1999. He continues to be a box office draw, touring his stand-up shows nationwide. His most recent stand-up special “Nothing Personal” debuted on Netflix in 2022. Currently, Spade can be seen hosting the FOX game show Snake Oil. He also hosts the hit podcast Fly on the Wall, alongside fellow SNL alumnus Dana Carvey. In each episode, they interview cast members, hosts, writers, and musical guests, as they share never-before-told stories about their careers and SNL’s cultural history. Read David’s full bio here.
Autobahn Country Club is a very proud supporter of the H Foundation. The H Foundation is a tremendously impactful non-profit organization dedicated to advancing cancer research, and since 2011, the H Foundation has raised over $11 million, donating nearly every dollar raised to the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. Many of us have been impacted by cancer and the H Foundation has made a real difference in the lives of others.

Goombay Bash 2024 will be held on July 27, 2024 and will feature celebrity guests (in addition to our very own Craig Cunningham!), auction items, a gourmet buffet and cash bar, and fireworks finale. The attire is casual so if you can attend, bring your Hawaiian shirt!
