Known for close racing, this past weekend’s Spec Miata Race provided a show for spectators and Autobahn Member Racing Live Stream viewers alike.
Qualifying was in full wet conditions. John Jodoin (#31) qualified with a commanding four second gap to second place on the grid.
Shortly after the green flag flew, Sean Varwig (#188) managed to take the lead and hold it for the majority of the race. John Jodoin and Matt Alexander (#157) followed closely behind trying to catch Sean as the track continued to dry.
John Jodoin saw an opportunity around the outside of South Turn 11 and went for the pass. John and Sean miraculously stayed two-wide from Turn 11 and all the way to Full Track Turn 1 behind the Clubhouse. All three drivers showed incredible patience and racecraft as the lead eventually changed to John Jodoin’s hands.
