Jordan Missig Impresses at Daytona Speedway

It was kart week at Daytona International Speedway and one of the featured classes was the Ignite Dash. The stellar field of nearly 40 drivers included such stand outs as Indycar Drivers Zac Veach and Gabby Chaves.

Among those making up this strong contingent was Autobahn Senior Ignite Champ Jordan Missig. Jordan was immediately up to speed hanging around the top ten in lap times in practice. He backed it up once qualifying started and proved he would be one of the top runners. A solid top ten finish on day one was backed up on the second days feature race with a 4th place!

Congratulations to Jordan for such an amazing accomplishment.

After a third place finish last season in one of the world’s most demanding sports car endurance races, the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill from Willows, Calif., Team Trim-Tex never stopped thinking about what it would take to push its faithful Mazda MX5 Global Cup Car to the top spot.

“The minute we finished last year’s race we started talking about next year,” said Trim-Tex Drywall Products CEO and team driver Joe Koenig. “This year we had better planning and we had a vison. We found a few weaknesses we had to improve on.”

The preparation paid off as the talented, hand-picked squad won the E1 class and netted an impressive 16th overall finish out of 60 entries.

Dick Ruckh reports on his  racing SCCA at Road Atlanta in the SARRC series on November 4, 2017 GT2 class. “We finished 2nd for the day, but  had passed into 1st and had held that for half the race, but with about five laps to go the shifter locked out of 2nd and 4th gears. Had to finish in third gear but was at least able to hold the 2nd position. Overall was a great day and a good finish.”
