Early this year, Havoc Motorsports announced that the points leader in the SM and SM2 classes would be rewarded with a free test day in a Formula Mazda. August 22nd’s Spec Miata double header on the south track declared a winner. In the SM class, Taro Kushida has been dominant all season long and has the points lead amongst the highly competitive field, however he would like to extend the offer to his rival, Ethan Tyler. Tyler is currently nipping at Kushida’s heels in second place and is excited for the offer to test drive an open wheel car. John Jodoin didn’t have it so easy. He and Sean Varwig have been neck and neck, fighting it out in every race, finishing multiple races within tenths of a second from each other. Unfortunately for Varwig, mechanical problems forced him to retire early knocking him out of contention and gave the valuable points to Jodoin.
Havoc Motorsport’s generosity and commitment to growing this series will hopefully have these racers competing in the Wings-n-Things series as well. Congrats to both winners!
Didn’t win a test day with Havoc? That’s ok because they’re offering an “arrive and drive” package for the Wings-n-Things series. Contact Marge at Havoc Motorsports to reserve your car today!
