Congratulations to Larry Ballard, our 2021 Oktoberfast Grand Marshal. In case you haven’t met Larry (pictured above with wife, Annette), here are a few fun facts:
- Larry was born & raised in Chicago
- As one of the early founding members, Larry built the very first member ‘garage-mahal’
- For many years Larry was on Autobahn’s Board of Directors
- Larry and his sons Kevin & Scott raced in our first Maita race. Larry retired from racing several years ago, but in his Autobahn career he never missed a race. His son Scott is still yet to miss a race and Kevin has only missed a few
- Larry’s cars of choice – Porsche & original Shelby Mustang’s
“I still really enjoy going on track in my Porsche. My family and I watch the member racing series, particularly the Miata series, of course!” Please make sure to congratulate Larry this weekend!
