On July 14 Autobahn’s very own Jordan Missig took to the Streets of Toronto for a pair of races, that marked the second street circuit of the USFPro 2000 season. When asked about his first qualifying performance (P9 for Race 1), Missig said, “This is the bumpiest and most challenging track we will go to all year.” After a few adjustments, he became more comfortable and was able to improve his qualifying position for the second race, securing a P2 overall position and earning a spot on the front row. With qualifying behind him, Missig had his sights set on winning both races. The opening race of the weekend proved to be difficult for everyone involved as rain midway through forced the drivers to switch to wet tires for the remainder of the race. Missig was in a battle for positioning and ultimately came home with his sixth Top 10 finish of the year. Surrounded by his teammates, Missig was hopeful to maintain momentum for Race 2, but the situation quickly changed. A couple of turns in, he fell to P6, but that didn’t deter him from fighting throughout the race. With a few laps to go, Missig fought his way back up to P3 and secured his second podium finish of the season. “It felt good to truthfully deserve the result that we got,” said Missig. Next on Missig’s agenda is a doubleheader event at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, in late August, followed by the season finale in Portland, Oregon.
