Dear Members,
The time has finally arrived — construction on the North Track improvements will begin as soon as we get final approval from the City of Joliet, which should be within the next few weeks.
As we move into this exciting phase for the Club, our goal is to maintain clear and transparent communication throughout the entire process, including how construction activities may occasionally impact member track availability and scheduling.
As many of you know, both internal and external scheduled events are important revenue sources that help offset the cost of these improvements. In order to support the long-term investment being made into the facility, there may be occasions when member track time must be adjusted to accommodate these commitments.
The feedback we have received from both members and the Member Committee has been overwhelmingly positive and supportive of the project. There is a shared understanding that there may be a few “pardon our dust” moments along the way, provided communication remains timely and consistent.
To help ensure everyone stays informed, beginning Tuesday, May 26, we will distribute our weekly construction update email. These updates will be sent each Tuesday afternoon and will outline any anticipated schedule adjustments for the remainder of that week and the following week. Please stay alert for other communications also, as sudden changes could arise with uncertain construction schedules.
We encourage all members planning to visit the Club to review these updates in advance so they can plan accordingly and maximize their track time.
What could schedule adjustments look like?
- On certain days, the schedule may shift to split-day operations, with sessions available in the morning and again later in the afternoon or evening or some variation thereof.
- When opportunities allow, we may also open the track to members on Mondays.
- At this time, we do not anticipate more than a limited number of full track closure days. If closures become necessary, they will be communicated well in advance whenever possible.
As with any major construction project, schedules may need to remain flexible due to weather, contractor timelines, or other unforeseen circumstances. However, with strong communication and member cooperation, we are confident we will successfully navigate the process and deliver an exceptional improvement to the Club experience.
Thank you for your continued support, flexibility, and enthusiasm for the future of Autobahn Country Club.
