Autobahn Country Club is a very proud supporter of the H Foundation. The H Foundation is a tremendously impactful non-profit organization dedicated to advancing cancer research, and since 2011, the H Foundation has raised over $11 million, donating nearly every dollar raised to the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. Many of us have been impacted by cancer and the H Foundation has made a real difference in the lives of others.
Cancer became personal to our very own COO and General Manager Craig Cunningham when he lost his sister Dawn. When Dawn became sick, Craig introduced Autobahn to the H Foundation, and since 2021, Autobahn has hosted the H Foundation’s annual Karting for Cancer event. Craig’s leadership and involvement in the H Foundation reflects the importance of supporting initiatives that bring hope and progress in the fight against cancer.
Craig’s efforts have been recognized and we are thrilled to share that Craig will serve as the honorary chair for the H Foundation’s 22nd Annual Goombay Bash. The Goombay Bash is a Caribbean Festival held at Navy Pier to find a cure for cancer. Goombay Bash 2024 will be held on July 27, 2024 and will feature celebrity guests (in addition to Craig!), auction items, a gourmet buffet and cash bar, and fireworks finale. The attire is casual so if you can attend, bring your Hawaiian shirt!
