Congratulations Jordan Missig!

It’s been an awesome year for Jordan Missig so far! Earlier in August, Jordan made the trip to his “second home track” at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI with the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series on IMSA weekend. It was an extremely strong performance not only from Jordan but the entire Wayne Taylor Racing team as they took victories in three of four classes. Jordan came home with the hardware, going two-for-two on the weekend securing victories in the series’ landmark 99th and 100th races. It was an incredible feat as Jordan was one of the only solo efforts in the class. The disadvantage of being a “solo driver” in the LST series is that the driver has to stay in the pits for 3 extra seconds during their mandatory stop. Although the driver has a slight time disadvantage, it allows them to stay fresh behind the wheel – ready to make moves on the drivers that just got into their car.

In race one, starting P3 on the grid, Jordan steadily held onto the lead pack in the opening stint. He was one of the last drivers in our class to make a pit stop. As the leaders went in, he had clear-track which allowed him to put some flyers down. After the mandatory pit stop, Missig was right on their tail. After quickly getting around a car from another class he moved into second and only a lap later made the pass for the win with 5 laps to go, finishing 1.6 ahead of the pack.

In race two, Jordan’s qualifying effort made his race a bit easier after earning a pole-position. It was clear sailing from there, controlling the race issue free. A big wreck on the backstretch caused the race to go FCY in the closing minutes which allowed him to cruise to the finish line taking his second win of the weekend.

“It’s been incredible to represent the Autobahn family and I can’t say enough about how the Member Racing and Member Karting programs have developed me as a driver. Hopefully our success can pave the way for younger drivers coming through the Autobahn ranks. We’ll do our best to keep you updated on our progress through the remainder of the season.”
