Please join us in welcoming Autobahn’s newest team member, Rick Jerding. Originally from Frankfort, Rick received an associate’s degree in math and physics from Joliet Junior College then headed south to ISU studying math education. After 20 years in the food industry, Rick and his family returned to Frankfort where he received an associate’s degree in culinary arts from Joliet Junior College.

Rick’s extensive career history includes Lead Line Cook & Executive Chef positions at Marriott & Hilton Hotels as well as Executive Chef at Broken Arrow, Joliet, Ruth Lake, and Idlewild Country Clubs. As Autobahn’s Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef, Rick will lead our Café and Clubhouse F&B teams.

“I enjoy cooking meats the most. I have a strong Italian and American style of cooking and focus on keeping foods simple, flavorful and doing it ‘right’.” says Rick. “Striving to maintain a scratch kitchen has always been one of my passions.” Rick continued, “I will be sure to find somewhere to plant a garden and use the freshest ingredients possible.”
