You all know this car. It has the Warsteiner Livery. I have owned this excellent car since 2011. It hasn’t been around lately because since you last saw it, it went through a complete rebuild including:
• S14 Engine hand built by S14 expert PHP Racing
The Engine features:
o Balanced and blueprinted S14-B23 motor including:
o Shrick Rally Cams
o Wisco 12.5:1 Pistons
o Head work
• Link ECU system
• AEM Digital Dash (Factory gauges still work).
• Coil Pack / Wasted Spark Ignition System
• Sequential Fuel Injection
• Dog-leg Close Ratio 5-Speed with 1:1, 5th gear.
• 4:10 ring and pinion.
• Aluminum flywheel.
• Single disc clutch
• Coil-over Group N Suspension and Brakes
• Many Spares
I have loved this car! It is a blast to drive: fresh, dependable, competitive, fast and very cool! The coolest Historic Race car under $200,000. Very clean. We also went through the body this winter looking for rust (none) and cracks (a few) and we repaired them. E30 M3s have become collectable and no one turns them into race cars anymore, especially with S14 motors. I put $25,000 into this motor! Plus the modern electronics. It would be a great car to use to in Historic Racing, and all for only $55,000!
A GT5 car at AB, with the old engine and set-up it turned 2:38 at road America, I cant remember what it turned at AB, sorry.
It still has full glass with electric window lifts and operable sun roof so its a great track day car, but its a little heavy, but there is some low hanging performance fruit with easy weight reduction.
